Furwind is in Steam Greenlight
The spanish
development studio Boomfire Games, has launch Furwind, a fun platform game with pixel art graphics.
His four members started in autumn of 2016 to develop
this title at full time. Since then they have been adding more characteristics
getting the classic gameplay of a platform game, but with a very demanded touch
of action.
“With Furwind we want players to revive the classic experience of games
of our childhood”, says Ignacio, co-founder. “Although the game have pixel art
graphics we are not aiming for a totally retro visuals, we are taking care of
the graphics creating a world full of detail”, adds Israel, lead artist.
Being in an advanced
state of development, Furwind has been launched in Steam Greenlight awaiting to
be approved by the community and start his path to PC.
About
the game
Furwind is a light-hearted platformer with
a very classic approach, colorful graphics and a gameplay for everyone. The
game takes place in a magical world inhabited by intelligent animals.
The story begins when a great evil has been awaken by
a dark cult and they are threatening to destroy the balance of nature. Our hero
is Furwind, a little fox, he is the chosen to restore balance to the world.
Through the game, Furwind will get new powers to to
help him in his journey. This powers are acquired after beating the tests
imposed by the ancestors-totems he discovers in his path. In the shamanic
trip needed to obtain each power our protagonist will suffer a nightmare where
he must advance without stopping, being chased by a dark and terrible mist.
Furwind can use his powers at any moment but they are
no infinite, he can refill them in a shop after each stage exchanging gems that
are find through the different levels.
As a
platform game, Furwind evoke classics like Rayman and Mario. Far from common
action-shooting titles, Furwind try to recover gameplay of games from the past
but with a unique visual style. This game pretend to challenge the player trough
levels full of enemies and traps testing his skill and timing.

Boomfire Games
Boomfire Games is an independent
studio resident in the south of Spain. The team is composed by four members
each one specialized one area. The studio was founded in september of 2015 and
already released a game for mobile platforms called Kick or die favourably
